Day 13 - The making of a Gingerbread House

I remember decorating a gingerbread house to be a relaxing event....not with a 2 year old!

Things were going smoothly until we had to wait 2 to 3 hours to let the house set before we could get to the CANDY part that Bennett was waiting for. 

Looks can be deceiving, don't they seem patient in this picture!  If I could make it dry quicker I would my boys!!!



Okay a side job and a good distraction, making nuts and bolts... Until the little fishes got out of the bag, which I mean were dumped all over the floor. 

They were like fish out of water, hee hee.

Gavin was helping by holding the lid.

Okay, now fast forward 3 hours later after nap time.  The decorating of the house.

The finished product...honestly I let Bennett to 90% of it himself, not bad hey!

We kept distracting Gavin with this singing toy so he didn't keep reaching on top of the table for the candies.
