Since Bennett was born we have started our own Advent tradition. Each day of advent is not celebrated with a chocolate but an activity. This is the first year that Bennett completely understands that each day there will be a special activity planed, Gavin will just go with the flow I'm sure!

The Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition that was derived from this special little elf who acts as Santa's eyes and ears, and reports the children's behaviors back to St. Nick himself. A child's very own friend from the North Pole. The Elf will appear in a different location each morning to keep a watchful eye on the children. Our second tradition for Advent is using Great Grandma Roth's Advent calendar that was passed down to us. A wonderful keepsake that we will treasure for years to come.
Since we are moving in just over two weeks from now, I thought we still needed to made an effort and decorate as much as we could while we are here. So welcome to our very small but festive Christmas corner

That elf is pure evil in that one picture!! In the next one, you can just tell by the look in Gavin's eyes that he is a little weary of the little guy already hahaha
