Heading South!

Our holidays continued south from Regina into Montana with a quick overnight stop in Havre and then on to Whitefish.
We were a little worried about traveling almost 3000KM with the boys so I did some hunting on pinterest and came up with a few surprises along the way.
To start with we (yes, Adam and I) made this contraption, we are Scooby-Doo and our destination is the smiling sun at the end of the ribbon.  As we get closer to our destination Scooby-Doo moves too and when we reach a smiling sticker the boys got a wrapped prize.
The first prize were these guns, they were such a hit that nothing else was quite as exciting.

Road side stops are a bit tricky with kids.  There has to be something exciting to do or see but not too exciting that they don't ever want to get back into the van!
We found a beautiful river to throw rocks into and start our very own rock collection to bring home.

We made it to our KOA campground and once we were all settled in our cottage in the woods, we took our first trip.  Up to Whitefish mountain ski resort where I went as a kid.  They now have it developed for a summer resort.
We took the boys down the luge and they LOVED IT....Once you made it to the bottom you got to take the chair lift back up.  Both boys giggled the whole way down.

They loved it so much we did it again and again!

There was a huge spider web that you climbed up and then slid down the slide.  It was a bit hard for the boys so Adam and I ended up getting a workout lifting them up.
