Super Hero Run

We registered the boys to participate in the Super Hero Run in Calgary.  The run was 1 km long and was a fundraiser for children with disabilities.  Driving into Calgary in the morning we went through a monsoon of rain, I was having a fit but Adam calmly reminded me that we drove this far we might as well go and see if the weather cooperates... and it sure did.  As soon as we arrived the rain stopped and sun peaked out from behind the clouds.   

We met the McMhon family and their little super heroes to do the run with.

The even so well planned, they had games and prizes for the kids.  Second Cup coffee (need I say more!) and snacks.  The kids had so much fun!

Lots of the athletes were dressed up for the even, besides the 1km run there was a 10 km and 5 km run that I would love to run in next year.  

We took a walk down to the Glenmore reservoir. 

Next year I will work on the adult costumes.
