A donation from the birthday boy

Bennett chose to donate his birthday money to the Ronald McDonald House.  He decided to donate to this charity because of his visit to the Red Deer hospital over a year ago where he was treated for his salmonella poisoning.  We were greeting with the warmest welcome, Bennett was praised over and over for being so generous and donating his money.  They gave us a tour of the amazingly homey house, with a last stop in the MAGIC ROOM!  This special room is where children get to go when they have had a major surgery or are discharged from the hospital.  The boys were welcomed into the room and had to find the special key to opened the large barn door.   When they opened the door they found a room full of toys from the ceiling to the floor.  As a way to thank Bennett for his donation, that let both boys pick any toy they wanted.
Such an amazing introduction to both Bennett and Gavin donating.  I can't wait to hear where he will donate his money to next year.
Bennett spent the other half of his birthday money on a new set of left handed golf clubs.
