A birthday on the slopes!

We planned Bennett's birthday weekend with grandma and grandpa Wecker in the mountians skiing.  The birthday boy fast asleep!

We spend two days at Nakiska, the first day we stayed on the bunny hill, perfecting the boys skills (Gavin dominated at the 10 minute meltdown, but managed to find the confidence to do down the hill and then loved it.... a familiar routine of his).

The second day we pulled off a full 6 hours on the slopes.  Bennett spent no time on the bunny hill this day, right up the chairlift he went!  To all of our surprise he did FANTASTIC on all the blue runs that we took him down.  When we go that the bottom his little legs were just shaking from snow plowing the entire way down.  After lunch on the patio we found another chair lift that took us to only green runs!!!  We had trouble getting Bennett off the ski hill, he was having so much fun and gained so much confidence over the 2 days.

Grandma and Grandpa were such troopers, with their old gear and all.  

Thanks for all the memories, we will cherish Bennett's 6th birthday on the slopes.
