Woodies Triathlon - a first for Bennett

We had a very exciting and proud day in the Roth house today..... Bennett competed in his first Triathlon!!!

We were very proud (and a little emotional) parents today as we cheered Bennett on through his swimming, transitions, biking and running.  BUT the biggest lesson Bennett learned today was TO NOT GIVE UP, when his chain fell off at the start of his bike ride and had to be fixed at the bike tent before heading back out on the course.  We were probably more proud of him for wiping his tears away and continuing then anything else today.  We all happened to be viewing right beside the bike tent so we were there cheering him on to continue and his little bro gave him a silent kiss on his cheek, knowing how upset Bennett was (another proud mom and dad moment of the day,).
Bennett finished with a huge smile on his face while his Nana and Grandpa Roth, Grandma Wecker, his cousin Ryan and of course his Mom, Dad and brother cheered from the bottom of our hearts.
To finish off this wonder morning Ryan and Gavin competed in the toddler run (I say competed because Gavin ran with more determination on his face then some of the competing triathletes.)
A day for the record books in our house.... in two years when both Gavin and Bennett can compete, I'm sure we will be adding that day too!
Thanks for all the family support
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do.
