Bennett has had his adult tooth growing in behind his baby tooth for the path couple months.... we even joked that was becoming a shark! After the old string on the tooth trick Bennett had finally lost his first tooth! Very exciting for the whole family.

Our Little Rebel
The Red Deer Rebels pick one minor hockey player to be the "Little Rebel" who get to skate with them during warm up before each of their home games. Bennett, with the help if his dad contacting the right person was chosen for the honour. A little nervous and excited, Bennett suited up in the jersey they gave him and was ready for his big debut. He first got to watch warm up on the Rebels bench which allowed from a couple special conversations with some of the players. As the players left the ice, Bennett had to help collect all of the pucks. He then went back down below and waited to high five the players as they entered the ice for game time. He followed the last player onto the ice and joined the team for their huddle. Bennett let us in on the secret talk in the huddle, where the captain said "lets rock this game Bennett!!" Lastly he got to stand beside the starters for the singing of O Canada and where they introduced him as the Little Rebel for the game. Grandma Wecker changed her plans a bit to come and cheer Bennett on with us. We were a couple proud parents and grandma! Gavin the little trooper cheered on his brother while he enjoyed ALL the treats a hockey game has to offer.

Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth (Day 1)
Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Our magic morning started out with breakfast at 6:00am and two very excited young men who couldn't wait to see this place called Disneyland and what kind of magic it had in store. Each morning we would all take a picture of the boys in their matching clothes just in case anyone went missing. To my surprise there were no complaints about their matching outfits, Bennett was more than okay with it because I explained it was for their safety.
Okay, onto the excitement, to our surprise our magic morning was shared with thousands of other eager Disneylanders who got an early pass into the park too. The small crowds were nothing compared to the thousands and thousands of people we would weave in and out of later in the day. Bennett found his favourite ride first thing in the morning the Buz Lightyear ride in Tomorrow land. Grandpa and Bennett were able to ride it a couple more times before a lineup occured. We took the plunge and all went on the Star wars ride that seemed harmless but almost made me cry like a baby and loose my breakfast. One of our highlights was Grandpas favourite ride, It's a small world. We all enjoyed singing the song over and over and over again till it was engrained in our heads for the rest of the day. Gavin our little dare devil loved the more thrilling rides with grandma and Dad, he loved Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. The Jungle boat ride was almost too real for the boys, which made for a very entertaining ride for us! The one disappointing moment was for Gavin when we arrived at the most anticipated Indian Jones ride to only find out he was too short by about an inch.
About 3:00pm we packed it in and headed back to the house for a well deserved swim and cold beverage. We have a list of things to see tomorrow when we take on Disneyland for day 2!
