Little Kings Volleyball

Throughout the winter when we could make it,  the boys went to College for a kids volleyball program that was ran by Adams old coach Keith Hansen.  It was a great family affair, Adam and I both helped out and LOVED watching the boys skill level improve so much over the few months.  I wonder if they will be as good as their Dad??

Hockey Night in Southbrook

Adam and a couple of Dads planned, Hockey Night in Southbrook, originally to be playing on the little storm pond by our house but due to the warm weather the ice was not safe for the event!   At puck drop the sun was shining, the company was amazing and the kids were having fun.  I couldn't imagine a better Saturday afternoon in February!!

Tubing at Canyon with all our boys!

We have the most perfect winter evening with the Alexander family at Canyon.  We decided to try our luck at the tubing ride at the ski hill.  All the boys LOVED it!!  They didn't even complain about the chilly weather.  We were convincing them to go inside to warm up!
These are times living in Canada are the best!

Our wonderful friend Stacey Alexander took some absolutely gorgeous pictures of us.  I have a hard time picking my favourite ones, they are all sooooo nice.

The run away and swimming lessons

Gavin has been in escape mode a few weeks ago.... Cabin fever from almost 7 months of winter must of got to him.  He thought is was hilarious to run out in his rubber boots and underwear (yes.... this mean he is officially potty trained.  It only took three years and one day of threatening him with weather girls pull ups, who know?)

Swimming lessons were an overwhelming success!  I managed to get the boys in the same class, for my own convince of course.
They both passed with flying colors and are ready for summer time swimming!!

Skating Lessons

We just finished the boys first session of Canskate.
Gavin laced up his skates for the first time when he started the lessons.  The first few weeks consisted of lots of crying and crawling on the ice.  After the first day he said to me, " mom, I don't like my teacher with the beautiful eye"!  That must mean that she was at least was in his face trying to teach him a thing or two.  By the last day of the lesson, Gavin was on his feet most of the time and even smiling :).  His one teacher (without the beautiful eye I"m guessing) had a strong connection making his skating experience positive.

Bennett on the other hand is a natural like his Grandpa Wecker.  From the very start he jumped to the next level and kept up with all the kids.  Sometimes I had trouble keeping track of where he was on the ice because he was so fast.  He received his first badge and was two skills away from receiving his second.  I see hockey in our near future, eek.

Here are some of our favorite pictures.

Gavin with his ribbon and Bennett with his badge, way to go boys!!!
